Heidi travels the country making school and library visits on a regular basis. The Rescuing Reed programs typically last between 45 – 60 minutes.

About Heidi Mottin

Heidi is a children’s book author, living in Chester County, PA. Her nonfiction book, “Rescuing Reed: The Little Dog Who Could”  is about one of her rescued dog’s journey from homeless dog to “a dog with a purpose”. Reed’s story has many applications for today’s grade school students, such as banishing stigmas, not judging others, anti-bullying and giving everyone a chance to be their best self.

Rescuing Reed has been purchased for the “One School One Book” program in elementary schools in TN and KY and the book and school program are officially considered educational materials for Title 1 Schools! Heidi has been working with Title 1 Schools across the country, finding creative ways for them to use their Title 1 funds including copies of the book as well as special programs within specific classrooms, whole-school programs and more!
